As an avid traveler, I do like my high end luxury resorts/hotels, but what I sometimes like even more is a nice boutique hotel that has character and is a gem of a find. This is definitely the case with boutique hotel Riva Arun located on the Chao Phraya River. You can find some of the most amazing historical sites nearby such as Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Museum of Siam, and the Grand Palace. Additionally, if you want to take a nice little stroll you can go to the Flower Market (who doesn’t enjoy some nice blooms?!)
The Rooms
Riva Arun is a 25 room boutique resort where guests encounter panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River or of the old city! Each room comes with it’s own private balcony for you to step outside, get some fresh air and look at the surrounding views. Upon entrance of your room you will notice that the furnishings are both modern and stylish
Riva Arun Studio:
These rooms come with your choice of King or Twin beds. The room has a mini balcony where you overlook historic parts of Bangkok. All the studio rooms are located above the old town and off of The Maharaja Road.
Riva Arun Superior Room
This room will provide you a partial view of the Chao Phraya river and also includes a mini balcony similar to the studio rooms. You can choose between a King or Twin beds.
Riva Arun Deluxe Room
This room provides you the best view of the Chao Phraya River and is the biggest room at 25-27 square meters. You will find the design is both modern, with a Chinese foundation found in it’s furnishings. You also get the mini balcony overlooking the river with this view, which only enhances the experience of staying on the river.
Amenities
The rooms are fitted with your choice of King or Twin beds. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning and climate control, 250 thread count linen, 40” flat screen LCD television with international TV channels, bathrobes and slippers, mini-bar and kettle, coffee plunger, in-room safe, hair dryer, non-smoking rooms make each room the right combination for business or leisure.
Restaurants
Riva Arun has a beautiful rooftop restaurant, Above Riva, that serves food for any Thai lover. The Thai dinner is prepared with fresh ingredients and local flavors. It is family style servings, so everyone can share in the delicious taste. You also can order continental or a la cart breakfast here.
