At one point or another you surely have seen photos (if not already stayed in one) of these gorgeous overwater villas. You probably couldn’t help to think that that’s what paradise feels like. I’d probably venture a guess and say it comes quite close.

My husband, son and I had the pleasure of taking a 10 day vacation and staying at the Conrad Bora Bora. I’d like to start off by saying that we didn’t realize how relatively close Bora Bora is to California. Granted it’s still an 8 hour flight, but when you think Bora Bora you naturally think it may be further away. Particularly for us, a heavy traveling family, an 8 hour flight is not so bad, considering Hawaii is only about 2 hours less! If you haven’t been to this beautiful island, I highly suggest you put it on your bucket list. It’s a mix of Maldives and Hawaii (as you get the mountain views as well).

{ THE HOTEL }

<Spectacular Views>  The resort has the most spectacular views with the Mount Otemanu volcano in the backdrop. The unobstructed views make you feel like you are secluded in the middle of nowhere and simply surrounded by water. Let’s not forget to mention the beautiful Polynesian culture that you get a glimpse into being on the island.

{ ACCOMMODATIONS}

With Polynesian decor in mind, the modern villas and suites are designed around the beautiful lagoon. They have different room categories to suit your comfort. We had the pleasure of staying in the King Pool Overwater Villa. This villa not only is overwater (as the name suggests), has it’s very own private infinity pool, but the most striking sunset and lagoon views!

The room is large and the large windows leading out to the deck are retractable, providing an indoor/out feel as you step onto the spacious terrace where the infinity pool awaits. There is also a very cool overwater hammock situated right next to the pool, which allows for some great photos! You can take the steps down straight into the lagoon to take a swim or snorkel with the fishes.

This villa category included:

  • Air conditioning
  • Balcony
  • Chaise Lounge
  • Duvet Covers
  • Seating Area with Sofa Sleeper
  • Sofa Bed
  • Work Desk with Adjustable Lamp
  • Granite Counter Tops/Vanities
  • Separate Bathtub and Shower
  • TV – 32 Inch LCD HD
  • Waterpik Showerhead
  • Arm Chair with Ottoman
  • Black Out Curtains
  • Dining Table and Chairs
  • …and much much more!

{SPA}

Hina Spa is probably located in one of the most beautiful locations with the most stunning of views for a spa. It is perched on a hilltop, providing you an incredible view as you receive your massage.

The spa has a variety of services to provide for your solo relation moment, to a more romantic couples session…and also let’s not forget the expecting mom, as I received a very nice pregnancy massage!
